A Super Birthday

Good Morning, I know that I have been ignoring my blog lately. Things have been super busy at work, with any luck they should settle down a bit in a week or two.

I want to share with you a card that I made for my Dad's Birthday.

This card features the adorable Super Henry, a digi stamp from Whiff of Joy. I bought him a while back when he was first released but this is the first time that I have coloured him up and I love the way that he turned out.

The papers for this card are from the Basic Grey Oliver collection, the background was perfect for this as it reminded me of a night sky in a video game. In keeping with the masculine theme I have kept the embellishments simple and layered on several die cut stars to complete the layout and then added a few pearl accents.  A simple sentiment finished it all off.

Thanks for stopping by, be sure to leave a comment to let me know you were here. I plan to catch up on my blogging this weekend and as today is the last work day before a 3 day weekend here in Ontario I am sure that you will see me here again soon.

ABC Christmas - C is for Charming

Good morning, it is time for another new challenge on the ABC Christmas challenge. This week we are hosted by Miria who has chosen the theme
C is for Charming
our fabulous sponsors this week are

 Photobucket
with a fab $15 voucher excluding postage.
and
with a wonderful $10 Gift Certificate.

I didn't have a lot of time for my card this week so I went through my box of images that I had already coloured and found this cute snowman from Whipper Snapper that was ready to go. After deciding on my image I went through a pile of scraps that were on my desk and found these great complementary papers that are part of an older Fancy Pants collection.

The charm is a great little pair of mittens that if you look closely actually match the pair being worn by Frosty here. I have wrapped some twine around the base of my card to attach them and then tucked them into the base of this little floral arrangement of Wild Orchid roses and cherry blossoms. In keeping with the snowy theme I have also tucked a sparkly snowflake and a few gems into the mix.

I hope that you will join us this time around. It is never too early to get a start on cards for Christmas. Be sure to stop by the challenge blog for a visit and a peek at the rest of the gorgeous DT creations.
Thanks for stopping by, hope you will visit again soon.

Just a quick post this morning to remind you that you still have one more week to participate in over on the ABC Christmas Challenge Blog where the theme is
B is for Bears
with bunting, buttons, bows and brads.

This time around I have used another adorable LOTV stamp called James with Pile of Presents. All decked out in his Santa hat, he is so cute. I wanted to make a card with really traditional Christmas colours so I have coloured him with Copics to match these richly coloured papers from Basic Grey and MME.

The layout of my card is based off of a previous sketch from the Sketch and Stash challenge. I have pretty much stuck with the sketch but I have flipped the embellishments to the left side. The little metal plaque is from an older Making Memories collection and I have tucked some punched leaves and flowers from WOC in around it to finish it off.

Thanks for coming by today. I hope that you will join us in the challenge, I look forward to seeing your beary cute creations.
